Typography in Ecuadorian Chocolate Packaging (TEPC)
As a personal project, I worked on an exhibition centered around typography observed in packaging that also highlighted cultural themes. My research led me to explore my Ecuadorian roots and heritage as it was important for me that my voice carried throughout my exhibition. Thus, “Typography in Ecuadorian Chocolate Packaging” came to fruition.
“Typography in Ecuadorian Chocolate Packaging” showcases the following brands: Republica del Cacao, Cheztiff, Mashpi, Kacau, To’ak, and Mindo. My goal was to not only immerse the viewer in a cultural, rich history of my country of Ecuador, but also accentuate the variety of typography in the packaging.
Colorful, illustrated elements were implemented throughout. Sans-serif Quasimoda typeface was paired with decorative serif ZnikomitNo24 typeface.
